The School of Astronomy and Astrophysics has developed advanced senior school curriculum that relates directly to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) agenda and is now available for online delivery to students nationally and internationally.
Senior Astronomy and Senior Astrophysics are registered as recognised school-based subjects by the
Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and contribute credit towards the Queensland Certificate of Education for Queensland students.
Both courses are based on university astronomy and astrophysics content that is rich in higher-order thinking STEM concepts.
Students who study astronomy and astrophysics will have direct contact with professional academics and astronomers from astronomical institutions world-wide.
