TSAA Student to TSAA Staff

Head of School - David Platz & Chris Dilger - IT Design & Innovation

Chris Dilger is a testament to the exceptional experience offered when studying through TSAA.  Upon commencement of his secondary studies, Chris latched onto the developing Astronomy and Astrophysics program that is now TSAA.  Every opportunity to network with professional astronomers, stream live images to international universities and attend annual Student Astronomy Conferences was eagerly accepted.

Chris studied the Senior Astronomy and Senior Astrophysics courses as an accelerated student to further his knowledge and skills in physics and mathematics.  While in Yr. 12 in 2015, Chris began researching a black hole candidate Cygnus X-1 though a partnership with the University of California Berkeley, under the supervision of the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics recipient, Dr. Carl Pennypacker.

As a result of Chris obtaining a very high ranking in Senior Astronomy and Senior Astrophysics and taking advantage of extra-curricular opportunities, he was offered two Vice Chancellors Scholarships from Swinburne University of Technology and the Queensland University of Technology.  Chris has put his university studies on hold for 12 months to work as an IT Design and Innovation Specialist with TSAA, putting his unique talent into practice to make physics concepts more easy comprehendable to online students.
